Matt Moake, CCIM, Principal & Director of Acquisitions / Dispositions
Matt Moake joined HighStreet Net Lease Group in June of 2011, and is a Principal of the company in the role of Director of Acquisitions / Dispositions. His expertise and core focus is on the acquisition and disposition of net leased properties across the United States. Matt’s intense drive to fully understand each individual client’s needs, coupled with his in depth product and market knowledge has helped him to uncover unique investment opportunities of net leased assets nationwide. In addition Matt has developed longstanding relationships with principals, developers, and brokers throughout the country to facilitate sales transactions at the highest possible price for his listing clients. His knowledge and experience with the 1031 exchange process has been instrumental in allowing his clients to achieve their investment goals and build wealth. Matt’s previous 5+ years in the commercial real estate industry were spent with a publicly traded owner/management company that operates office, retail, industrial, self-storage, and multi-family properties throughout the southern United States. Matt managed the entire Houston portfolio (32 properties totaling 2.4 million SF) and was responsible for successfully negotiating over 900 lease transactions.
Matt holds a Texas Real Estate Commission broker license and received his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2011. This designation is a symbol of expertise in the commercial and investment real estate industry and is held by less than 5% of commercial brokers nationwide. He graduated from Rice University in 2005 where he was a four year member of the baseball team. The team was highly ranked throughout his career and won the national championship in 2003. Matt is a member of the Houston Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter, Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR), and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is a lifetime Houstonian and is an avid supporter of the Rockets, Texans, Astros, and all Rice Owls athletics. Matt and his wife, Meghan, have three children and enjoy golfing and spending time with family.
David Gorham, Acquisition / Disposition Specialist
David Gorham joined HighStreet Net Lease Group in April of 2016 as an Acquisition / Disposition Specialist. David’s expertise and core focus is the disposition and acquisition of net leased retail properties. Using his financial expertise David is able to add tremendous value to his clients through the analysis of asset ROI and levered/unlevered cash flow yields. David’s emphasis on client satisfaction and determination to maximize immediate and future returns in every transaction have been key factors in his success.
Before joining HighStreet David spent several years working in Management Consulting for a leading firm. David led cross functional teams to design and implement client solutions for multiple Fortune 500 companies, including projects in performance improvement, acquisitions/divestiture advisory, and pre-transaction due-diligence. When several of his consulting projects exposed him to the real estate arena, David developed an immediate passion and started his own real estate company as a side project. He has successfully raised and invested several million dollars across various asset classes with tremendous success.
David holds a Texas Real Estate Commission salesperson license and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), National Association of Realtors (NAR), and Houston Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter. David is a native Houstonian and attended Lamar High School where he lettered in Football and Lacrosse. He played collegiate lacrosse at University of California, Santa Barbara, and received his MBA from the University of Southern California. David is now back home in Houston and resides in the Montrose area. He spent several years living in Spain and Italy and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian.
Kyle N. Drake, HighStreet Net Lease Group Principal and Founder
Kyle N. Drake, Principal and Founder of HighStreet Net Lease Group, LLC, has more than 12 years of experience in the industry serving some of the nation’s largest developers, property owners, investors and institutional clients across Texas and throughout the United States. Kyle is well known for his expertise, hard work, integrity and outstanding commitment to his clients, and the specialized services his firm provides. His performance driven approach, problem solving strategies and ability to understand and work through the most difficult challenges has allowed him to procure and close complex class ‘A’ projects throughout Texas and across the country.
Kyle began his career in the corporate world at a young age where he learned many ‘key’ fundamentals of success from his father, who was an icon in his industry. Through the implementation of strategic market differentiation, integrity and performance at all costs, and a constant desire to excel, Kyle applied firsthand experience and achieved success on a national level. He was an instrumental contributor to the rapid growth of their company, and helped transform a ‘mom and pop’ manufacturing business into a national and international competitor that became one of the largest in the Southwest at that time.
A Houston native, Kyle graduated from The University of Houston with a BBA in Marketing in 1993. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), CCIM’s Gulf Coast Chapter, Urban Land Institute and holds a Texas Real Estate Broker license. Kyle enjoys spending time with his family, working, and experiencing the outdoors. He and his wife have two daughters and attend Second Baptist Church.
